@ah Verizon cwa negotiations extended until feb 26 2026 update today

  • 1
As of late February 2026, Verizon and the Communications Workers of America (CWA)/IBEW unions are engaged in early bargaining to negotiate a contract extension beyond the current August 1, 2026, expiration date. Early negotiations have been productive, with reports indicating they have been extended to February 26, 2026.
Current Status: Union representatives have reported ongoing good-faith bargaining, with significant movement from both sides.
Negotiation Goal: The meetings are focused on exploring a potential contract extension before the current agreements expire.
Context: While discussions have been ongoing since January 2026, unions are preparing for potential mobilization if early discussions fail to reach a satisfactory agreement.
Further updates are expected as the February 26, 2026, target date for these discussions approaches.

As our new leadership tears apart the management side of the business, which isn't done yet, the union surely better be ready to see so aggressive concessions. Let's be smart folks, the cuts will come to both management and associates at a near equal level.

Negative buttons ... go. Think people, think!

Been saying this since January 16th resumption. Everyone calls b s. No where near expiration. But expect a jam job. People will complain but it will be accepted by 90%
4 year deal. By 2030 40% gone.
