ABFS now is done by special services systems techs (AFO BUSINESS)..One we were installing t1's and fiber transport systems and the following day CISCO routers experts with 30 minutes training 😆😆

In outstate WI, ABFS work is done by AFO Business, almost 10 years now. We also do 911 psaps.

CE3 had around 30 left company wide when I left, new hire NTS were given ABFS work as well. Surprised they haven't merged the titles, but CE3 would lose out on things. Only a matter of time before they are sold off, surplused, or merged. Feel for my former CE3 coworkers, but union is worthless.

Yeah I’m sure the 100+ guys that were hired in 2019/2020 for ABFS are still here. There’s a lot less ABFS tickets though.

A handful. Think they fall under the “Customer Engineer lll” job title in the Leg-T contract.

That “engineer” part of the title is somewhat laughable though. They definitely don’t do any real hardware/software engineering work at all. Just another made up job title for what essentially is an installer/repairman.
