WFH for Sr Mgr and above

Does anyone know why some Sr Manager and above still are WFH while IC has to come 3 times a week. Also, many IC are WHF upon manager and director approval even they are less than 50 miles. Not sure what is company rule.

@gh I know that there were senior managers that went from Location: XX-Office Location to Location: XX-Remote

You think all WA-Remote and NM-Remote are too far from a site? I know for a fact that isn't the case

Plus all of the WFH people with accommodations do NOT have their location changed AND have to get their accommodation "renewed" every 6 months

"rules for thee not for me"

@n4 oh yeah ellipses really make your point valid. Be brave and give up valid info or go back to je-king it in the bathrooms on company time.

@h4 nope, people managers don't have to be in 4 days. It's 3 days just like everyone else. Directors and up have to be in 4 days.

@h4 Keep self soothing yourself by saying this is nothing more than a rumor thats been going around for years. While this may have been a rumor before, times are a changing. T-Mobile is following suit with what other Fortune 100 companies realize...time for everyone to get back in the saddle. Not if, just when. And when wont be long. You will see...

People managers are expected in the office four days a week unless they have an exception. If they qualify, you should probably just respect their privacy on that.

This 5-day RTO is a d-mb rumor that has been doing the rounds for several years now. Disregard. The fools who push it are probably counting on being right like a stopped clock is eventually, but it's really not happening.

You don't know about what circumstances others have. Why don't you mind your own business and not judge others?

@fe what you mean by 5days RTO. Are you serious about this. I have not heard this. Any additional details?

@OP Mandatory 5 day RTO is coming. So this discussion will become a moot point soon. Will there be a few exceptions, likely, but most will be required to be in the office 5 days. Buckle up campers.

A lot were grandfathered into remote, or they are on special medical exemption.

@OP, Do you know all the facts behind what you state? You know very well, there are circumstances that can allow one to work more often from home than not. It's a case by case. Carry on.

@a3 Reviewing presentations their IC minions create for them doesn’t take as long as they might have you believe.
