I cannot tell you how much it sickens me to know that we are walking some very talented people out the door in management while I sit by and have to watch union represented employees , making nearly 6 figures, fumble through the most basic operations and processes. And I don’t mean entry level either. I mean “Top” craft. Those people in the highest wage scales and positions.
It’s simply astonishing to me that we could hire someone into say, a “Systems” Technician title, who can barely type on a keyboard and who doesn’t know the difference between restarting/rebooting hardware vs closing and opening software. It really does not get any more basic. Or perhaps standing in front of a multiplexer or switch or router or other piece of equipment (Systems - Yes, what are the odds) with a blank stare and no concept of what they are or how they operate at even a fundamental level.
I just cannot get over it. And for them to turn around and scream about how useless management is, is quite the comedy.
