I like TSMCs style here. The new Intel CEO bloviates and says he will become #3 in the world in manufacturing. Meanwhile, the #1 company quietly executes and opens a new fab in Intel's backyard and wins Apple as the top customer. The don't seem to mind that it is a 'lifestyle' company. They are smart, they don't insult their customers.

The Taiwanese are clever, hard working and humble. Look at TSMC executive staff, they couldn't care less about diversity. They only promote the smartest people based on merit. The don't bloviate and they just keep opening up the can of Whoop A-s. Very admirable.

It is the same old tactic that Corporations use to leverage tax benefits and favorable terms to build their plants and offices and will tout recruitment. But they will turn around and lay-off people. Those who make these “tough-decisions “ will be amply compensated. As investors, most people partake in this gyration of the capital markets living off misery of humans even if it is a small quantum of the huge churn. Now back to Intel, this is the tough talk from the podium. Remember, they will close fabs, labs and what not in order to please their bottom line. The bottom line is people but people who can be displaced and people who have the lowest cost of labor. Isn’t this the “efficient market”?

What is more embarrassing than talking big and not delivering.
Unless there is no shame left and it's just everyone grabbing anything on the way out.

Intel leaders should travel less, talk less, give less interviews. Take that time to focus on a winning strategy and then executing it.

Wager that German and Ohio fabs will be nothing more than a empty shell or a ho-e in the ground for another decade
