Thread regarding Amazon.com layoffs

Does Amazon using tracking and other monitoring software to know if you are working in the office or logged on your computer?

Last week I did not go into the office and I worked at home. Does Amazon really know where you are working at? I'm thinking I am going to continue staying at home and work. I made it a habit a long time ago not to talk to any of my coworkers when I was going into the office because I don't trust ant of them.

No one is going to care about what you are doing until they need a reason to fire you.

Yes you are being tracked.

I come into the office every day but then leave after about 30 minutes. I wait to leave after making sure my manager sees me getting coffee or doing something else. So, am I a coffee badger is it, whatever that means? Like, I don't care. When I leave work after 30 minutes, I don't log off my laptop. I head for one of the busy doors and don't swipe my badge to exit, I always tailgate someone coming in or going out. My believe is if you don't want to be in the office, you do not have to be. When I leave the office after about 30 minutes, I'm usually hungry so I stop somewhere on my way home to get something to eat and get caught up on all my social media accounts. Then I drive back home and when I get there, I will plug my work laptop in to the power cord and start my mouse mover. I craw back into bed and sleep for about 2 hours or so. When I get up again, I log on to my personal computer. I like to be on social media to follow Influencers, to lean how they become popular because I want to be a bigger influencer myself, so I'm always striving to get better at it. I do this on my laptop so amazon IT can't detect my work laptop use. So, this is how I spend most of my weekdays.

Time Tracking: The system refreshes daily at 5 p.m. PT and monitors behavior over a rolling eight-week period.
Employee Classifications: The tool automatically flags employees into categories such as:
"Low-Time Badgers": Those averaging fewer than four hours per day in the office.
"Zero Badgers": Employees who have not badged into any Amazon building during the tracking period.
"Unassigned Building Badgers": Workers who frequently badge into locations other than their officially assigned office.
Crackdown on "Coffee Badging": This move specifically targets employees who swipe their badges and leave shortly after. Some teams are now required to stay between two and six hours for their attendance to be considered valid.

Wouldn't the company notice you're not swiping your badge?

You, yes you, are what’s wrong with this company, country and planet quite frankly. The rest of us are out busting our heads to KEEP our jobs while you are at home causing more scrutiny upon your peers.

Stay home, see how that goes for yah.
