Be careful, if the moderators here note that you are thinking for yourself, your post will be removed as we can’t have that. You mentioned DEI in a questionable light which makes people feel uncomfortable. So naturally your post has to go.
@d7 agreed DEI works both way, some demographs get hired due to their privilege too and not for their qualifications, years of bad hiring and lack of work ethic got Citi to this place.
@cf in my case my teammate that was let go was high performer who took on 50% of my workload. Now I am expected to pick up all their work on top my own and act like nothing is wrong. They are running folks into the ground and the stress level is unbearable. The option to leave Citi is there, but the stress of finding something else in this volatile IT industry is soul crushing. Only 2% of candidates are making it to the second round of interviews due to A.I. prescreening resumes. So staying at Citi and trying to survive is the lesser of 2 evils .
@cf
A result of the DEI hires. Of course me saying this here will cause it to be removed.
Its ok to tell the truth here unless if makes someone feel uncomfortable, then it gets removed. You know, safe space and all that.
@a9 "Do more with less" - that could almost make sense if that were the case. In Tech they have recruited poor candidates into pointless roles that usually involve reporting on other people's work.
Fewer and fewer people who actually do any work. More and more people who do little more than take those people's work and report back to management.
my a--hole is being hit hard
Already spread too thin in my position and they let go one of our key employees. I will be expected to fill those shoes on top of my own work. Do More with Less has always been the Citi way. So far I am safe but who knows what tomorrow will bring. Such a mess and they are running the company into the ground.
@OP Posting from Tampa. I was cut and am ok with that. But they took out my whole f*+^ing team!!!! That screen door will decimate their a$$ on the way out.
Just wish I could be there when they realize the mess they made.
Teammate in TX got hit. Was a great performer. They told those folks they are having to go into the office 3 days as week starting in March. now it all make sense. they never planned to have them all being able to fit in TX
I got hit in Tampa. Unwarranted 4 for end of year but 60 garden leave and 2 weeks for every year. Reason give was restructuring. VP.
I was told 15-30K people were to be let go this week. Not off to an auspicious start. Was the poster BS’s us? LOL
Sympathies to those who were impacted though
Tampa got hit with a buzzsaw it seems.
NY is stable ,no news so far
