Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Nice Look for our CEO: personally investing in start-ups and then directing United to work with them

No conflict of interest at all, right?

Right?

Bro has money poisoning.

My favorite quote: "Directors of companies registered in Delaware, as UnitedHealth is, have a “duty of loyalty”—an obligation to put the company’s interests ahead of their own. A director who invests personally in a startup in the same industry without first clearing it with his company could be breaching that duty, legal experts say."

Well heck I remember when Stephen Hemsley almost shut down TalkSpace on a SPAC, have posted this many times and of course I was the one who told everyone years ago when Hemsley formed his Cloverfields hedge fund..if you follow me, you can know stuff @medicalquack on X...and I give this site some coverage over there...
Here's the repeat..and it matters as UNH is a gigantic federal government contractor...shhhh...everybody hides it, but it's in plain sight..

"NO THE CHAIRMAN OF UNH IS NOT INTERESTED IN MENTAL HEALTHCARE-JUST MONEY-SPAC loser-TalkSpace at $.60/share IPO was close to $10/share Hudson Executive Capital created SPAC fund - UNH Chairman Stephen Hemsley-partner w/the hedge fund-they sunk it http://example.com/3yaQMrD

SPAC Investors Sue In Del. After Talkspace Value Plunges (PAYWALL) http://example.com/3PwnQBU One of the partners Stephen Hemsley, Chairman of the Board, UNH-partner NYC hedge fund-SPACS FUNDING Hudson Executive Capital

Speaking of UNH Chair Hemsley's hedge fund, Cloverfields, this guy, the new CEO of UNH/Summit PE Jeff Alter spent some time at the Hemsley fund before getting that job and I'm sure they hate him at Walgreens/VillageMD, he stuck them with loser Summit Health-took the $$ and ran!!

Here's an old SEC document from 1996 regarding United Healthcare, filed by their public accountants at the time, Arthur Andersen, where current chairman of the board for UNH came from, Stephen Hemsley was their CFO for 23 years.. http://example.com/3BTVFYY

I wrote about Hemsleys hedge fund 5 years ago and had the SEC filing and the whole show about Cloverfields...when it started it was all UNH stock and now no UNH stock..

With $990M net worth cited in the WSJ article, can confirm bro has money poisoning. Interesting he has very little UHG stock left….

I do not remember which of the many "townhalls" I was watching when I watched SH discuss his start up investments and then pivot to UHG’s opportunity with AI, rubbing his hands together like someone sizing up an investment more than leading a company.

That’s when it clicked for me: they’re navigating in a cage made of incentives.

It explains a lot.

@be you act like these these people and the company we hate so much are different things. Who do you think makes these decisions? Also its funny that you think an IP ban will do anything.

@aa This is a reprehensible post. It should be removed. Hate your company and your job, whatever .... but referencing a mu---red human is disgusting and should get your IP banned.

@a8 And is this a proven documented fact or just an accusation for the sake of it? I can't stand him BTW, but your post is a criminal accusation, just sayin'.

Wait so his family office can short UHG stock and invest in competition? But I can confirm that is a breach of our employment agreements.
