There seem to constantly be rumors going around about layoffs but how long it's been since we actually had a confirmed round? It's been a while. I understand being scared and worried but I just wish we could get some concrete info instead of people just fear-guessing.

Yes, there are layoffs. The problem now is that people are being let go in small batches. Of course JPMC has these big ones, but these small there and there put people unease every month. However, not every LOB. Look you were in your 9am meeting while someone in a different floor was let go and you don't even know it happen.
NJ Dept of Labor just posted that 120 people are being laid off in Jersey city effective May 3rd. NJ Warn Notice. Look it up.

@OP if you google search it AI will tell you there is a chance in Homelending every quarter this year. As AI rolls out and they don’t need so many people. Once Emcompass is fully up and running then we have more worry about the when.
