This goes without saying, but everyone’s job is on the chopping block. They are hellbent on getting this AI stuff implemented ASAP. The most infuriating aspect is that these head honchos have NO CLUE about the technology, and they expect everyone to assist in their own demise. They know they want it, but they have no understanding of how it works. Now, these crybabies are complaining about security risks which Google poses AFTER they promoted that as one of the top reasons they are converting, besides “collaboration”. The next time your boss asks you to do something, say to them, “Let AI do it”. Then, when it gets it wrong, you can laugh in their faces and tell them to reap what they sow.

Isao doesn’t understand Ai, to him it’s just a buzz word he thinks he knows AI he thinks everybody should do AI but he doesn’t realize that AI requires human interaction. Guess what I can also be a CEO and say we all should follow AI and do AI. Sammy unfortunately you don’t understand you think buzz words is what we should follow it’s exactly what Japanese do copy not invent.
Gen ai not required. Might be sooner than 2028. The curve is getting exponentially shorter.

@av GenAI may not be inevitable, but it's ability to perform simple arithmetic is still elementary.
AI is only as good as the users and info it pulls from. Anyone who has done a google search in the last year likely has experienced a nose-dive in its search function.
AI is just an excuse to layoff high wage workers, and re-hire them at lower average wages. This is a nation wide economic attack on the middle class. Anything else is propaganda and vaporware.
GenAI isn't inevitable.
Before sending out panic attack messages on this site, I fail to see how AI will eliminate ALL jobs. That's a ridiculous premise to post.
That said, you are correct that this going Google is a disaster waiting to happen. If anyone's butt is on the line, it's Sammy Boy and his bootlickers.
Rest assured if this company, along with other companies pursue this obsessive route, AI will create havoc. And potential customers WILL go elsewhere. There's already folks already saying they will refuse to do any business with any company that strips humanity out of a company.
Oh, I can hear the counter-arguments to this post, but rest assured any organization obsessed with AI will result in the company's death. For instance, I already have seen instances where people are moving their business to AI-based models have seen it hit their bottom line hard. Reason is very simple: customers want human interaction with any business. If Canon goes down this path, they will become non-existent.
Ever received a bot call from anyone? Or experience frustration with a health insurance, auto insurance or your cable company? There's latent rage out there, and rest assured, it will be the death ☠️ of a company. So, if Canon wants to eliminate jobs to an AI-based business platform, then smash your Canon cameras and sent the bits and pieces to that sociopath Sammy Sun.
Tokyo already has been watching Sammy Sun and he's in full panic mode. It's become a full-circle moment for that C-suiter, and HE will be the one out of a job by 2028, if not sooner.
Expect the AI bubble to burst sooner rather than later like the dot.com bo-m and bust cycle over 20 years ago. The bubble will burst in Sammy Sun's face and effectively ending Sammy's reign of te---r and error. He's a pathetic person who isn't worthy of having human skin. And to the tech nerds that dreamed up this Google Workspace platform? They will be the first ones who will lose their jobs. Now that would be poetic justice. They creat an AI platform only to devoured by a monster of their own making.
