Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Is anybody still quiet quitting?

How is it working for you? Any repercussions?

Yep. I'm more efficient than others so it looks like I'm crushing it - or I am actually crushing it according to their standards. But I'm on cruise mode and building stuff on the side.

I can't keep up with the work thrown my way anymore so I guess I am.

@b5 won't be packages when they notice you aren't working, so 90%. PIP then leave or just told to leave. You overestimate how doing nothing all day is now tracked. Looking busy but doing nothing also. AI compiled the data, hence the meetings coming.

@1k2 Yeah, A "special edition leadership meeting" scheduled late, directly in conflict with the Beat, is probably not a good sign

Beat cancelled and a special edition leader check in put in its place….

3 years later still no repercussions. You just gotta learn to play the game and make it look like you're busy

@de people do have a second job. It’s the dirty little secret at Cisco.

I used to be a high achiever. I took on a lot of extra responsibility a couple years back. Resulted in a low raise.

Then, I did the minimum amount of work I could, pushing no extra projects, etc. for the same amount of raise.

It’s been a couple years now of quiet quitting. No negative consequences. And I’m a manager.

When I was at Cisco I did the absolute minimum possible. I would volunteer for nothing and not watch any of the pulse BS.

Basically everyone in SBG works at a pace that would be described as "quiet quitting" or at least "phoning it in" anywhere else.

yes. most people I know in Collab and Security BU are doing minimum to get by, and waiting for an LR/ER package.
