If the goal was to make us all stop caring, they nailed it. Nobody gives a damn anymore about the company or its problems. The response to everything is just "whatever." And then they'll wonder why nothing gets done.

Morale is at an all time low. Most teams dont even have budget anymore to do anything.
@an 100% this. How much can one allow this C-suite sh!t to squeeze the bottom layer. Bravo to such ADs who has ba--s to pushback. Witnessed this recently, exact this!!
That is quite expected. So now comes the tug of war - leaders asking more and more - employees not caring - prioritizing life-balance.
I understand the sentiment, but I guess have too much pride in doing as good a job as I can each day. On the flip side, I don't feel quite so guilty when I take time off. 😀
As part of fit to win and VGS, I was energized and excited to participate in the offshoring of American jobs to increase value for our executives, shareholders, and the lazy overpaid domestic employees. Working on mass layoffs is the foundation of Verizon and will continue to be. But hey - at least we have the vteam day to pretend we care about each other!
@b0 same playbook before - delight the customer , customer first, customer centric… blah blah
I thought the plan was very clear. Set the foundation!! Delight everyone!!
@an Excellent way for the management to no longer the management team
I see a little of what the OP is saying. I work with many support teams. Due to all of them losing resources their Management teams have started saying we won’t support this and that any longer. It’s not that they can’t, it’s that they won’t because it’s a push back for having to layoff members of their teams. The leaner they get the more of this there will be and the end result is it takes longer to support our customers. If you want to call that the we don’t care anymore example it’s what is taking place.
32 years in wireline. My workload has increased but I still care.
@OP 30 years wireless. I care. It's still a great job that pays the bills with ease. 100% sti. Thank you Dan. Can't wait to see the stock price
At least you have a job. Be thankful. Or look elsewhere
@OP then please do us all a favor and leave. Have a beautiful Sunday!
Yep. Pretty much
