Are we eligible to claim tax relief on pension contributions? Noticed that the deposit into the pot would be numbers from payslip only.

What are you going to end up claiming? The deduction from your payslip is from your gross salary, so taken before tax i.e no tax relief as the money wasn't taxed in the first place
