Thread regarding TIAA (TIAA-CREF) layoffs

1% raise after a “historic” year

Just a 1% raise after the executives were boasting about how great of a year we had. They are probably thinking we should be grateful we got a raise at all. Were are all of the profits going??? Oh yeah to the executives who don’t actually do anything, while us individual contributors who do the real work get literal pennies compared to them

Wow. First world problems for sure. I haven’t got a raise in years. I left the firm due to the Denver closure an was lucky enough to find a job with a 15% pay increase.

Either leave here after your bonus arrives or just be happy you still have a job. Hundreds in Denver are not so lucky in this complete dumpster fire of a job market.

110K base, "leading" rating - no raise, 110% bonus. Last year was promoted and got a nice bump in base (12%) and a really nasty bump in responsibilities (30-40%). Feels a bit unfair this year, probably time to scale down effort a bit.

I got no raise but my workload just increased by 25% ! I thought Accenture and AI were supposed to help with reducing workloads and increasing productivity.

Inflation works both ways. I’ll do 3-4% less work.
