it would appear the ones making the decisions have no idea what they’re doing.

Because Verizon never has a logical plan in place. Lets let critical knowledge base employees go and keep the ones who by perception appear to be doing the work but don't. Then realize oh now we have a hole in a area so lets bring in people who don't know the job so the work still doesn't get done. Sound about right?

My store laid off 4 and open for open positions. Now nobody of quality is applying so we run short staffed instead. Took trained people and got rid of them to replace with new people that don't know jack...

People feel special when they have more people working under them.

@e2 not this time. The company is doing better and more need to go. Trim the top, managers and higher by 10-15% and profits climb and more work will get done faster

Every single time there is VSP or a RIF there are critical employees who go and then the company realizes 2 months later that they need them back….RIFs are executed at a macro level and there are always oversights where key people go or it becomes apparent that a certain role is critical

While I respect that everyone’s entitled to their opinion, I have to admit — calling our 68-year-old, skinny-jean-wearing leader a “tiger” over and over is kind of cracking me up. Just because the Tony the Tiger guy threw that out there doesn’t mean it has to become a thing. The rest of us are quietly hoping it fades away.

Part of me wonders if that’s Dan himself trying to get that nickname to stick. Strange times.

Tiger needed to get rid of dead weight and over-comfortable entitled employees. His technique is not just cutting raw numbers of workers. His style will involve bringing in newer and more skilled people with valuable experience and credentials. The old slam the customer and sell them an unneeded tablet days are over. Wireless ways have brought this place to its knees. Tiger will enable us to stand strong once again.

@a3 Betcha didn't know DEI also means military veterans did you? Sounds like you guys are anti-American Pacificist Co-mies.

@a3 the obsession with DEI is honestly so funny. The only people who try to pigeon hole DEI into everything are inadequate losers who feel like their shortcomings are due to others
