There are rumors floating around that the goal for gutting ASR is to set the place up for failure. And then to close it entirely by 2030. It seems a valid concern. The VP was always going on and on about ASR being appreciated and best of the best. Always touting how much good they did for the company. Then the company guts them.
It seems the writing is on the wall for the Bartlesville facility. IT is taking hits, and the previous Research facility went to Analytical Services by name a few years back. Research is all but non existent now, and they just gutted the Analytical Services group.
For those staying, weigh that as you consider how long to trust them to maintain your role. Had I simply witnessed it instead of being walked to the gate, I would certainly be looking for another role elsewhere or with another company.
