Thread regarding Omnissa layoffs

Things at OMNISSA will get harder in 26

Plans are going to be unattainable, pressure I’ll be immense and management will turn a blind eye and expect the field to make up for their ineptitude without offering any solution. No new offerings, no new messaging, and no field support from leadership as they will just sit back and look at dashboards while complaining things aren’t working without any accountability themselves. Nightmare work environment.

Cognitive dissonance at its finest in fairness. Google has another product called YouTube, you should use it and search for microslop. You sound like one of the a--holes in management.

@xc Ads were always going to be how consumer AI companies were going to monetize. It's what runs the internet. How else were you expecting them to make money? Ever heard of a thing called: Google? You should get acquainted with basic business models before being so critical and announcing imminent demise.

@w2

Yes, I see it already with chatgpt who now have to put ads in to avoid bankruptcy. Microslop are reeling the benefits of reduced market share too and billions wiped off their value. The only ones convinced about ai are the technocrats shoving it down everyone's throat , the people being paid to pander to the technocrats and id--ts. The majority see it for what it is, slop.

The Omni launch is irrelevant to enterprise decision makers who approve AI spend. It's myopically designed to help improve workflow for IT help desk SysAdmins. The C-suite doesn't care about this group because their work is not strategic or high value. The end user computing sector will be transformed by the application of AI that benefits knowledge workers. That's where we should be focused, on this larger base of users.

It’s clearly an “SE issue.” Don’t worry — Lighthouse will swoop in and save the day. Nothing wrong with the product at all. Jared and the team will fix everything the SE can’t do. Just sit back and watch.
All the negativity? That’s just because you’re not good enough. Relax — Product is here to prove, once and for all, that the SEs aren’t capable.
And now that Tommy’s there, we can all feel confident that this time everything will finally get solved.

@pr horsesh1t. If you’re not delivering $1mi or more then you don’t pay for yourself and if you are saying you have 700% growth that’s a 7mi quota which is just a lie. And if your 1mi quota represents 700% growth then your territory does not warrant employing you

I have worked for 3 sw companies in last 10 years and for the most part you don’t know how easy you have it from a salary and quota pov. Yes it’s not vm-ware but that was not reality, and min quota for a specialist not so long ago was 3mi for a yr. I know you don’t have ela to bundle into with little to no selling involved but still.

Grow up

@g1 100%. Anyone who says otherwise doesn’t know anyone else working in IT!

@g1 you couldn’t be more wrong. Other companies apply logic to assigning quotas and don’t expect 700% growth. They don’t destroy relationships between the field and customers. That just scratches the services not even getting into the GTM strategy

In our last team meeting, I was reminded why Broadcom declined to keep the VMware EUC business unit. If you believe that 2025 was a huge disappointment for Omnissa's turnaround plan, then you must know that KKR is equally discouraged by the ongoing revenue and profitability decline. Also, qualified leader candidates won't accept KKR offers to join our company, so we're stuck with this bunch of id--ts. Doomed to fail.

Incorrect. The grass is very green where I moved to. The solution for people still in the he-l hole is to nod, smile and quiet quit until you can find another job. Your mental and physical health is worth more than the delusions of tyrannical managers who are only still there because they destroyed their reputations so much they are now unemployable. They have no choice but to ride things out and hope for the golden calf. The decision you have to make is are you going to be dragged down with them.

I honestly do not understand the hostile attitude. Things are the same wherever you work. The grass is not always greener
