@aq the use of employees abroad came to mind when reading this article released today (link below) that mentions 100% of current workforce is US based so I thought to myself with this subtle mention they may be considering off shoring in the near future:

@ak I know of a couple of teams that didn't lose their entire team, but they lost all but 1-2 people. I know because I received a call from a good friend that was let go and told me as much, and that person is 100% trustworthy. @a7 I know there are a lot of contractors, more than I have ever seen in my many moons at Crown. They will go as contracts run out but we discovered years ago that agreements existed with vendors that their data was never to leave the US, except for cases of technical support. Whether there have been loopholes introduced more recently, I can't say but I don't foresee that happening in the near future and Crown has been a good sponsor of H1Bs vs offshoring.

Is it possible they plan to get rid of US based folks to rehire for the same positions abroad at a cheaper rate
