Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Wireline to be sold?

Heard a rumor that budgets have been drastically cut and Technology is barely functional. Rats have started abandoning the ship too. Any truth to this?

Only Trump can. If he wants to, he can just take over Singapore or any other country he wishes. God bless America!

The bean counters at it again. Cutting costs and moving to overseas talent. No one can stop the offshoring of jobs to other countries. It is the drumbeat of globalization as corporation drive for increase stock value proposition. No president or legislator will bring jobs back to America.

@hq I think the post is aimed at Northbelt. Other locations are thriving.

Probably not sold. However, since product design has now moved to China, Pune and Singapore, there is no longer a need for engineers at Northbelt. They'll probably be reduced in number, transferred or become "project advisors." Either way, the staff has to decrease to keep the ship afloat.
