Is everyone at Wells Fargo an Executive Director. P4 no reports, Executive Director. P5 no reports, Executive Director. M2 with 12 reports Executive Director. P4 and P5 with no reports should be a VP

I don’t they are envious, more like curious.
Unless they changed it recently OR the person was grandfathered in, a P4 is a VP and not an ED
Basically most of the id--ts under Ellen are directors.
Look, it's simple...Duke/Duchess, Marquess/Marchioness, Earl/Countess, Viscount/Viscountess, Baron/Baroness.
Guessing anyone outside Wells Fargo would assume Executive Director is a higher ranking title than Managing Director. But nope. Just another weird WF quirk.
Executive Director was created to put people who were above a VP but not at the newly redefined SVP level. Spans multiple roles and doesn’t necessarily equate to functional level (P or M). Lots of people reporting to higher ups with the executive director title. The AVP, VP etc titles meant essentially nothing before a few years ago. It wasn’t a status by any means. That shifted as new execs came on.
Seems someone is envious
@aj
As a Director, shouldn’t you be directing people? That’s like a Manager job without managing anyone
Because Secretary II sounds bad when paired with a 0-2% promotion
P5 = M3 Senior Lead/Senior Manager; P6 = M4 Principal/ Director. P4=M2 Manager/Lead =VP. IC vs people manager
It's a title you give friends you're hiring to join you in su-king the blood from a tired dying man.
Way more top heavy than peer group.
