I personally think Microsoft could shave off at least a third of their sales teams including specialists and middle managers/directors. Many more roles in their partner dev teams as well as their CSAM teams There are too many layers and too many specialists. They could easily be combined. Having partnered with them for years the sales talent is weak.
@dt It's a corporate strategy to stay under the radar, reduce mass panic, protect share price, and avoid triggerering a WARN. It should be illegal and it deserves greater attention. What a world we live in! Moreover, as Melinda French-Gates stated in a recent interview. "I believe certain individuals are at a time of reckoning." Or as the older generation would say "the chickens are coming home to roost."

The analysts are happy with the direction that Meta and Google are taking on AI but not the huge CapEx outlay that Microsoft is making. Stock targets have been lowered since the earnings report and the stock is in free fall. It's time for a new CEO (long overdue) and CFO.
