Have heard conflicting things either massive reorg or a layoff. My money is on both. Seeing people reporting their teammates being laid off.

Salesforce Loses Its Head of Agentforce: What Happens Now?

@17g https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/technology/tech-news/salesforce-quietly-lays-off-employees-in-a-new-round-of-job-cuts-impacted-teams-include-agentforce-ai-product-that-ceo-marc-benioff-said-people-dont-/articleshow/128143708.cms
@107 meant to copycat Palantir
But missed the concept of going deep into data foundations, etc.
Palantir itself is hyped up beyond what really is...but poor copy of hype is the worst
wonder why was this layoff not covered in the news. many people I know had been impacted. dont seems like another round of slient layoff.
not true statement on AE readiness exam. I scored as a Sales Expert on the scale. Still let go on Feb 2.
@bt not true my AE readiness index score was rated as a Sales Expert and still got let go on Feb 2.
@OP I hate this place. Layoffs and promotions announced same day. What kind of culture is that? Stellar people let go in professional services. High performance rating and on billable projects. Makes no sense. Meanwhile mediocre managers survived and new unnecessary roles created
FDE = Forward Deployment Engineers. I still don't understand why this team was set up, aren't the ProServ and partners good enough
A friend of mine works for SF, in sales per AI Agents. from what I understand. I stayed with her over Christmas and the day before we left on a holiday she was freaking out about a skills exams she had to complete. She and I sat down together and used Gemini to answer many of the questions. The outcome - she failed th exam. I berated her a little saying I don't know how someone in her position could be so reckless as to not study the materials and have a solid hold on knowledge of her product. She hosed down my concern and said in the final team virual meeting her boss alluded to having failed too, and she felt she had nothing to worry about.
teams affected? FDE ? Agentforce?
@az can you let us know what new org mean? i heard prof svc and FDE were going to be merged?
Any in Canada? Within professional services?
I’m in professional services in the UK and quite a few good architects have been laid off. All on fully billable projects. Incompetent and clueless leaders still here which is a shame.
Lots of layoff announced today in Dublin, Ireland as well (mostly management for now)
What locations are the layoffs impacting?
Exact same thing happened to me, ‘Quick Connect’, and I was on a billable project with very strict deadlines!
@gb former traction?
@b9 for what it's worth I'm the only one who failed it on my team, and I'm still here. I failed it pretty bad. I used slackbot to check my answers, didn't help lol
I work in sales and been there 7 years. Closed a $600k deal on The last day of Q4 on Friday. First day of Q1 yesterday, laid off.
@er yes, I know a few senior directors and directors

Just had my 1 yr - anniversary. 2 Weeks later role eliminated. I'm on GPS side. More RIFs and Shifts to most likely. AF just not taking off in GPS accounts.
@f9 what area of organization?
Person infront of me got laid off, she was in the office and she started sobbing and sniffling on her call, terrible.
@c7 any layoffs from the traction on demand acquisition?
@bt Heard it from my SA's VP leader. He was moved to another org.
@b5 just 8 weeks or 8 weeks+ addtional weeks based on length of service ?
@bt not true
Wow all these proserv layoffs are in us only?
Anyone in the fde team?
I am glad it happen... been dreading it for the last year and a half... feels nice to just be done with it. Anxiety lifted...
@by
They took down more than just their own Professional Services. Salesforce acquired a medium-sized consulting firm named Acumen Solutions in 2020 and merged them under CSG. Acumen Solutions was a medium-sized company and had never had any layoffs. All of that small company charm was wiped out. Everyone is just a number in a spreadsheet but the company pretends like they are better than the average evil corporation.
@bv any idea what verticals?
A lot of professional services, which makes sense as that was a department designed to fail. Their pricing was absurd.
Impacts to CSM, Prof Svcs , Sales.
@b9
"Apparently it was all based on the Skills360 assessment of your skills."
Is that coming from some leader or is it a guess?
Sorry for all impacted. Really bad days for our industry.
Any info about TMP? So far I didn't hear anyone from TMP laid off.
@b4 pretty much since I started. Layoffs always happening and training chaotic, disorganized re-orgs every new FY
Reorg in retail solution engineering. Nothing major but lots of 1:1s
Its both
@a2 all manager are instructed to call their team
@b5 I heard 5 PM PT is the last communication deadline
