Layoffs in HOMELENDING

There hasn’t been layoffs in Home Lending for quite a few years! Does anyone know if there will be this month?

They are Manila underwriters. Reality is, US underwriters cost too much. I’m sure they’d hire local if they could get quality underwriters for $45k/yr

There’s been small layoffs here and there for the past couple years it’s just not been loud like it was back in 2021. A lot of shifting in roles to help laying off has also been prevalent.

I don’t foresee any big layoffs coming for underwriters or MPs in the first quarter due to the heavy migration into encompass. Underwriting actually has new hires in class as we speak.

That said, I’m a nobody and my opinion doesn’t mean jack squat. Lol
