I get why leaving makes sense, but there’s likely severance coming, and it could be enough to give you some real breathing room. maybe even allow you to take 2026 off.

Unless it’s statutory in your country or state, I wouldn’t count on it. Whatever money the company has will go first to shareholders as divident, second bonus to c-suite, third, bonus to VPs, forth bonus to remaining employees, fifth statutory severance package. If there is anything left after that, they might consider giving it out.
