@q7 well they just cut ~600. So do that 2-3 more times and there’s your 5%. Couple it with some really harsh & targeted baseless firing like they did last year, and they’ll easily hit 5%. I honestly think it will be closer to 10%. That this round is the smallest layoff round for the year.

@q7 bank needs to cut 5% by end of Q1 and 10% by end of year. Get past the corporate jargon Mike M0ron will spew out, and you’ll hear the word “leaner” multiple times, and he’s not talking about leaner physiques.

@px 5% in your area, right? 5% of USAA employees would be around 1,800 to 1,900 employees.

@pe according to my ED it was a 5% cut in the workforce. Only reason we know is because half our team was impacted and there work is now tossed onto our plates. The October layoffs were small in comparison to last week.

Possibly the number isn't as big as the Oct 2025 wave? Not to discount those impacted - they have the weight of the world on their shoulders and for them it is all they can see.
