If we got laid off in July 2025, how does the CIP calculation and payment work?

We Chevroids don't know how to actually think and use our brains, we all use Chat GPT.

Chatgpt says between 1.0 and 1.1 and it has been accurate the last two years. The metrics are published so it has the data that is used in the calculation. We will see if AI is right or not on Monday probably.

Will be very fascinating... If it's less than 1.4 IMO its a slap in the face.

I would expect even lower next year regardless of performance.

The company wants us gone.

Pull up the Jim Cramer interview from today. If we get anything less than a 1.2 then it’s a slap in the face. Yes OE metrics were not met, and yes we need to get better there. But we pulled off a fantastic year in the face of all the turnover and pressure that came along with it.

I would be stunned if it’s >1. Our OE was horrible. Yes, we did a relatively very good job against their own metrics, but I feel they will use how poorly we compared to our competitors to bring that number down. If you look on the CIP site, there is no formula specifically, the board has a lot of discretion. My personal feelings are we should not be penalized when we are meeting our own internal targets. Executives should be responsible for competition with relative peers, and they should be the one bearing the consequence of us being ranked last in many categories.

@a2 they can’t focus too much on safety and fatalities without having to accept accountability in having caused a mass strain on mental health and wellbeing last year that likely led to more incidents than normal.

It’s gotta be at least 1.2 for a few reasons: (1) Hess employees got 1.65; (2) the LTIP payout is garbage this year so 26+ need a high cip to balance it out; (3) our stock is near all time highs and mgmt has been signaling that we are hitting CIP goals (notice the lack of focus on safety and fatalities)
