Show of hands, who votes to strike? We should get organized and show this machine who is really doing the work.
Who is down for a strike?!

@28f Start by doing some research on your personal computer or personal cell phone. Do not use any Humana equipment for communications or research. Do not use Strider for any research, either.
Instead, use ChatGPT or Google Gemini to get research ideas on how to unionize. That will give you faster answers. Make sure to ask the AI to “verify” the answers it gives so you can rely on what you get back.
Ask the AI questions about how to form employee groups of employees for collective bargaining, who can join, how to organize employees who want to start a union. Ask whether there are local or national unions in your area for employees—nurses, call center associates, etc.—who are similarly situated.
Also research what employees can and cannot do on the job when trying to start a union. Do the same with what employers can and cannot do.
Then ask if the AI can give tips on how to organize without alerting the employer prematurely. I suspect you’ll get some good answers.
Unionizing is the only way I see for Humana non-management employees to gain some control over their working conditions and benefits. Otherwise, you’re at the mercy of the executive leadership team.
And we all know they aren’t interested in the employee. Only in profit.
I hope this helps you and others. Good luck!
@26r love this message. I wonder how we can pull this off in real life? Can't use company's emails, for ex.
Look at unionizing. Nurses would be a perfect segment for union organizing. Same with call center associates. Same with physical therapists and others. You just need to define the union group so you have enough employees with a common role and common interests.
Once you’re organized into a union, you can negotiate things like pay, PTO, benefits, and OT through collective bargaining. This is how you fight for a better future together.
Start looking into how to become union members. You are smart people. You can do this.
No
Don’t strike. Unionize, then threaten to strike. You need bargaining power. You don’t have that without a union.
Not me. I work from home. No working nights and holidays. No working 12 hours shifts and driving during bad weather. I may get cussed on the phone but no one is spitting on me or kicking me. I’m not getting written up for forgetting a blanket after coding a child in the next room. I’m good! Perspective :)
It feels like they are trying to push us to become unhappy enough to leave and avoid having to pay severance
Monday = no raises
Friday = mandatory OT WOW just WOW
Don't they know this will cause productivity and efficiency to drop. Studies have been done on this. Along with those who will leave because of this. In this day and age that's the only thing they could think of. Thats sad.
Yep! Ive been a top employee within SNP for a few years now. Even though Ive been disgruntled, I was able to eat the sh*t sandwhich they are serving. This is the tip of the iceberg. Im applying to other places this weekend, which I havent done since coming into Hellmana 4 years ago. Im done. Ive never been forced to work OT and Im not about to do it now. Ill go back to bedside
SNP is going to lose their best employees. I'm outta here!
You mean you’re not thrilled about mandatory over time? 🤦🏻♀️
