Let’s not kid ourselves, every company doing layoffs is calling it a restructuring.
There were some cuts (the old SHYFT group, CS3) but I think the intent was actually a reorg compared to last summer and the summer before that. That said, its not necessarily a "good" reorg and some of the changes were poorly thought out. Feels like we're making changes for the sake of making changes.
For what it’s worth, the CS3 cuts were likely a result of politics and all that. Only senior managers were cut as far as we’re aware. CS3 is a very large group with a lot of internal infighting. I didn’t hear anything about Patient Cloud but I wouldn’t be surprised.
That said, a standard mass layoff seems inevitable given the nature of the job market.
