So far, I participated in two calls today. There were multiple presenters/speakers on each call. None of which were RTO including the majority of attendees for these two calls. I know these individuals & I am very familiar with the BU's. This RTO business sure is interesting. Lol

Yawn! Always fun to come here and see the whining.
@a6 They don't want data, Bill "feels" people are more productive in the office.
Don't confuse him with facts, his "feelings" are what matters.
does anyone have a manager requiring taking laptops home every night? someone raised a good point in a meeting about bcp (business continuity plan) and our manager looked confused and turned quite aggressive that they were challenged as we are rto. they did not sound prepared to answer the question about alternative work locations and confused it with work transfer which isnt the same
i did a cursory glance and saw that manager have to work on changing work styles to fit our bu, probably depends on people being able to and it sounds like they are avoiding this process to create a hybrid policy that no longer exist
but really, it looked really bad in front of the team and i could tell they were frustrated and caught off guard when they brought up bcp and taking laptops home when we probably shouldnt be lol
good on that person for calling them out. something doesnt feel right and the manager got even more mad when the handbook was brought up regarding liability for damaged or stolen laptops outside of work
So glad I left this place
why are telecommuters not logging in until 9am but we are expected to begin commuting at 7am. does the individual working from their couch get the same raise as the person who's busting tail to be in office that is paying to park/commute. when will the madness end.
There are going to be so many “reasons” why not in the office. I was traveling. I was between client meetings around town. I had a 10:00 and it made no sense to come in for an hour and then leave. I had a 3:00 across town so didn’t come back. I have a lunch. Roads were closed. Had a family emergency. Car trouble. Gate wont open. Dry cleaners broke a button. We should start a pool…. I’m in for $5.
Perfect example of C Suite having all of the perks of doing what they want and not understanding what they are asking of the people that help the bank make $$.
Those who are classed as "Telecommute" were told that they wouldnt receive information on their location / space until sometime in Feb. If you arent in one of the few primary target markets where they have space, it could be longer. Then, there is something like 60 days to transition. Other than one additional day for Hybrid workers, RTO hasnt really started.
Yeah, RTO is performative with no SMART metrics just like many initiatives here. How can they tell if they're actually getting a good ROI on the real estate, brain drains, geo silos and general morale hit from RTO is they're not measuring anything besides vibes? It's the lack of information based decision making that's the most insulting.
@a1 - Just an observation. Some are sc--wed with the cost & commute while others are not without any clear understanding of why. Our CEO stated that RTO is the Truist way when clearly it is not what is actually occurring.
Ok. And?
