Thread regarding Fannie Mae layoffs

Who Decides What’s “Essential”?

Amazon announced its plan to trim management layers to address bureaucracy. It makes you wonder when will we take a similar look, so the people delivering the real work here, aren’t always the first on the chopping block. Something about the current approach just doesn’t add up

@n4 it's not this admin. It's going on for years and years from previous admins and now we are seeing the impacts. If Fannie mae is allowed to outsource projects to India. I can guarantee 75% of the job in US was long gone.

It's corporate life, a lot never makes sense and a lot of the time good employees are let go and horrible employees stay. If someone wants more control, working corporate is not for them. It sometimes amazes me that people just think they have control over their situation, when often it won't matter.

I just look at this way, if they want to keep a bunch of people that don't know what they are doing and "yes" people then go ahead...maybe it isn't the place for many to continue to work there. It has nothing to do with any administration...this place needs to be cleaned up and unfortunately it won't be equal for all.

Fannie has always been rife with cronyism, people hire their friends and then protect them. It's only going to get worse under this admin.

Pretty sure we can get by with no “co-presidents”.

Who decides? Not you. They have far more power than you. It is far more likely that you are going to go before them. No matter how bureaucratic and bloated Fannie is.
