The status quo must go

There is fact to this and it extends across corporate America. Some of the boomer generation were career bankers or care whatevers; put in the man hours, however, retirement looks like nothing. Some boomers prioritized career over family and hobbies and have their perfectly curated financial nest egg and yet after all that there is nothing for them to actually wake up to… it’s a struggle that will remain for another 5-10 years

@ad This is the entitled generation after all. What did you expect? I see very unrealistic expectations, lazy workers who think they should be running the company in 5 years.

I'd like to gently correct OP..

Until WF:

  • Stops shipping jobs to India
  • Starts spending the billions in stock buybacks on hiring workers of all levels

@OP
Hmm, CS isn't a boomer.
I can think of 1 maybe two managers in tech that are boomers. Most are X'ers and M's.
Yeah, Z'ers in mgmt. Let's do that. Because after all, they know it all, right?

I thought Gen Z didn't even want to RTO? How could they be managers?

The real question is who would want to be a manager at this company? Too much BS to deal.with and you won't make a difference. Been there done that. if you think it's toxic and depressing as an individual contributor just wait. But good luck if you do.

Actually I think this is true. Gen X got sc--wed. When the youngest Jen act started working, pensions went away. Social Security Medicaid was raised so as the government raised bars for people to retire companies, get away with benefits and incentives to retire.

Low key you don’t have riz for management yet, bro.
And the youngest “Boomer” is 60. Most are sipping co-ktails on the severance glide path to retirement after last years layoffs.

So hilarious, that says it all about why you’re not moving up. It’s someone else’s fault!

That’s it! You nailed it! That’s why you aren’t in management yet. Nevermind you can’t even get out of bed without your mommy texting you.
