Sending an employee survey is so tone deaf

Sending an employee survey the day after massive layoffs is so tone deaf and par for this company. No point in even filling them out as it’s obvious senior leaders don’t care.

Another survey: another area of regulatory compliance that needs to be passed. If all of the bobbleheads wanted to exact change , try not engaging in the survey. If you want to protest than don’t fill it out. That would force them to address the problem of low morale because now you have an agemcy and the board who has to act or it won’t be business as usual for them . It’s all about those credentials.

I am no longer submitting surveys. If my manager asks why I haven’t or didn’t, because I don’t think I can answer it in a positive way.

If you are comfortable - submit accurate survey results. Not negative on everything, point out positives if your peers are great. Make sure to point out disappointment with your manager, their leadership, the CEO(s), and direction of the company. Also workplace safety is a good place to ding them.

If you're not comfortable - simply do NOT submit. Low response is worse than negative for them. Negative feedback is seen as immature je-k employees. They are reptilian, they thrive on pain. Negative feedback unveils your humanity. Refused feedback, in a way, means they're lacking absolute control which is the greatest pain and loudest message of failure.

Please submit the survey and don’t let the door hit you on your way out. This company is cruel and worst of all twin cities companies. Would you expect anything different from what u seen. It’s in our nature.

Exactly - the co. does not care about you, your well-being, etc. so, you need to use them before they use you because they will.

Only results ive ever seen from the surveys is our director lambasting us for low scores.and telling us no one will get bonuses or raises if scores arent higher

Even if an employee who's been laid off provided unemotional, fact-driven feedback, I doubt it would drive any meaningful change.

I'm still waiting to see results of last year's Employee Experience (formerly "Vital Signs") survey.

Unfortunately the only action I've ever seen "leadership" take in response to that survey was to assign everyone on the team to adopt a topic in need of improvement and create a goal to improve results on the next survey. That was clearly an unethical attempt to game the system, since it provides incentive to give dishonest feedback!
