So, received announcement for POD 3.0. It seems to be a “every account for itself” model and creating technology silos. If a POD needs XYZ skills; the POD is supposed to build that skill, even though it may be existing somewhere within Kyndryl. Current practices that support multiple industries being broken down to fit this POD model.

@OP Sounds like a pretty straightforward strategy to me. Those VPs need to dream up something to stay around.
@1fd Good for you and carry on! I can't imagine big K being around much longer. No one left to partner with, lol! I'd love to hear more about how all these amazing partnerships are working out. Anyone?
I have no faith in Kyndryl. its survival battle will continue for years to come if it doesn't fail soon. this company is far behind. feel free to judge me but I just do enough work to get pay check. I don't see any value in putting more efforts.
BUTTledge and his minions are the wrong people if Kyndryl is going to succeed. Unfortunately I don't believe success is an item in the roadmap.
Not quite, but has taken cookin the books to a whole new level
hold on here, didn't Kyndryl invent AI?
Hoping for the best, but skeptical the right people are in place to execute.
Currently lots of POD managers and other managers who have no idea what their team does day to day or what any accounts even do.
It's a sign of poor leadership. I'd call this the 'spaghetti' tactic - keep throwing different things at the wall and see if any stick. Lack of real experience and leadership capabilities drives companies to this shotg-n approach, instead of leading with real solutions with real outcomes.
@jw They happen all the time not just a few times a year.
@jw Hiring is on freeze, no offers to be rolled out while Martin and team evaluates hiring strategy. With Kyndryl, its always layoffs, furloughs and people moving to bench. Nothing new. Expect the worst each month.
Some rumors layoffs will come before April. Anyone know the RA details?
@fj All banking accounts for example will be under Banking POD and so on. Why? No idea. I see it creating more problems than solutions. In Kyndryl’s 4-5 year of existence, this is the 3.0 version of the POD’s. Dont know how many more versions are there to come. Nothing seems to be working.
@OP so you mean no pods per market but pods per industry? Literally why?
They have no plan. They just wanted to bring up AI and pretend like Kyndryl is using it.
