Nurses working at Humana are NOT valued. Simple but true statement. The Nurses in upper management in the Utilization Review area are clueless regarding UR but wonderful actresses playing like they know the jobs and care. They care only for themselves and their careers. Since centralization it has been a sh-t show and circus and it continues. Change of hours with no consideration of the nurses , impossible metrics and horrible PTO policy. More change coming is the news I hear. Work life balance? Not at Humana.

Only way to meet metrics is not take breaks and reduce quality of the reviews. It’s awful. I’m trying to get through my BSN on them and then cut my losses.
I am trapped and hate my job. The UM leadership team tells us how much they appreciate us all the while treating us like sh-t. The UM leaders must be satanist as they are pure evil lying witches only interested in themselves. Nobody trusts them.
I am new here and so disheartened. I am already looking elsewhere; sorry to say, this is unhealthy. I can’t even take a damn “P” break.
Agree with the work life balance being non realistic and non existent.
PTO policy is antiquated and not on par with the majority of large corporations.
Do they not realize people have to plan PTO ahead of time to get decent prices on airfare etc? We can’t all have the luxury of being able to take a vacation at the last minute !
What is the new PTO policy?
Workers are not valued by corporations and their own government political system.
Workers are undervalued: Many corporations prioritize profits and shareholder returns over employee well-being, wages, and job security.
Politics incentivize loyalty over interest: Politicians often appeal to party identity or ideology rather than addressing individual voters’ material needs. If you vote along party lines rather than personal interest, it strengthens the system that may not serve you.
Corruption and influence: Big corporations and lobbyists can influence policy, meaning your vote might feel like a “currency” that fuels a system designed to maintain the status quo, rather than change it.
The bitter irony is that people participate in the system thinking it serves them, but in practice, it often serves entrenched interests.
YES , WORKERS ARE NOT VALUED.
Trust me. the grass IS greener elsewhere. Glad I was rif'd several years ago.. I'm healthier, happier, paid more, less stress and more valued where I am currently. get out while there's still other positions out there.. Thank me later.
Nobody is valued at this ridiculous company
You are just a metric producing machine to them. It is all about the numbers. Your life and values and concerns are of no importance to them. Get back to work.
Let’s be real….. non of us are valued
I agree and am currently weighing all options. My work/life balance has become nonexistent and upper management has been extremely chaotic. This ship is sinking
They are going to have a company full of unmotivated employees it seems.
I agree 100%. I am the eternal optimist so I have been hoping things get better but I am losing that ability. For the first time in my work life I get depressed going to work.
