Agent provocateurs get on here and incite fear every damn month. They probably don't even work here. This is why corporate should have a policy of transparency about upcoming layoffs.

What's sad is not only was I laid off because my position was eliminated but today I found out they are moving another person from another department into the role that I was just eliminated from!! Worst company ever - who does that!
the OP is braindead, I saw people in Teams abruptly get called into meetings and then never return.
Why don’t you reach out to Potts director in Optum Health. I believe she can set u straight as to if the layoff was fake.
I curse the day “fake news” entered our lexicon smh
@OP I actually think your second sentence gets at the meat of it. This forum is exponentially more active than any other company page on this website.
That is because there is zero outlet or information coming from HQ. Even Amazon or Microsoft during their 15k+ layoffs had fewer posts. The fact that this is the ONLY place to talk about the company has morphed this entire forum into a private Teams/Viva page basically when the website is meant to be about layoffs.
@OP you are so certain fake news, tell your name,, troll. Better yet, get off this site.
@OP when your a$$ gets RIFed don’t forget to check in with us to discuss fake news.
@OP Go back to 4chan!
You know what else is NOT FAKE NEWS??? Management, burying in the layoffs, employees that are older, have handicaps, have medical issues.
I have such a friend who was in this position. She didn't take the severance package. Instead she hired a lawyer and took them to arbitration. She won!
Upper Management and leadership are mostly dishonest people and or are too weak to stand up for what is right.
FAKE NEWS?! Easy to say when your badge still works and you’re headed back to your desk Monday with a fake smile on your face kissing your leadership’s a-s- all because you fear next month you might be the one to get that random unexpected 1-on-1/Business Update email.
Tell that to the people yesterday, the ones who had to go home and tell their families the check stopped—the ones who actually do the work while you sit there scrolling Sparq Communities section trying to look busy. You should contact the 'Employee Center' aka HR- try telling them about your idea 'Creating a policy of transparency about upcoming layoffs' - see how far you get with the communication barrier now that you're really connecting with a call center based out of the Philippines... "The NEW HR"
It’s no coincidence these ‘fake’ cuts happen right before the January 27th earnings call just so the C-suite can brag about ‘operational efficiency’ to investors.
Stop playing for a billion-dollar corp that’s busy erasing your coworkers while you’re still checking your inbox. Transparency isn’t fear—it’s respect.
@OP what is wrong with you? Je-k!
@OP It is so sick to see people like this using a layoff site to harass fellow employees who lost their jobs! They 100% know people were let go today and use this as a joke. This is the definition of trolling.
People were 100% laid off today. Not fake news at all.
@OP there is no fake news. OH got hammered. 20-25%
The RIF sounds pretty big to me. But yes, corporate should be more transparent like many other big companies and let people know these events are coming. It’s ridiculous and creates speculation and more fear by not being transparent.
There's nothing fake about today. Myself, and a team of about 50 employees were played off. Let's be mindful of each other
What fake news? People were laid off today.
