I was one of those whose position was eliminated - that was the terminology used on my call. I am thankful for being given the opportunity to leave T-Mobile as the company is no longer what it was, the uncarrier - doing things outside of the norm and being innovative, and extremely successful. If you are on this discussion platform and hate your job, leave on your own accord and let those who wish to remain keep their jobs instead of whining about how bad the company is from your perspective. Its likely that those complaining are the same who expect high wages for minimal work, think they’re entitled to things they didn’t work for, and have no work ethic. So, STFU, leave the company, and go get a job elsewhere

@OP You are just distracting the forum from discussing the real issues. You should be the one to STFU.
@OP The warrior who is on a mission to get everyone to STFU and stop posting comments critical of the company is at it again. Doing it again and again. Get a life dude. Let people post what they want. You are no godsend to dictate what people should post. Maybe you have poor work ethic and got paid high wages for minimal work. Do not assume everyone who posts here is that way.
Every employee has the right to ask for better leadership in the company. Does not mean that employee who asks for something better should leave the company for it. You can be in a job AND ask for the company to be run better. Only low level IQ like you will think it has to be one or the other.
@c8 I swear small and medium sized businesses are often so much better. You don’t feel like a number, less red tape and often more personal reward. Compensation is often better but public companies these days are pretty bad.
It's an anxiety. Plus you lose something no matter how good or bad the company was. The very least you lost some number of years you spent with the company and people you interacted with.
@cd No its more like the company has need for some positions but not all positions that were in place before September. If you're just hanging on then, you are existing beyond what value you have to the company and what you are being paid. If you think you are being overpaid, let the fact that you haven't moved to another company by now be a warning that they don't have the idea you're worth more. Its the same argument that fast food workers make for higher wages.
Put in my two-week notice and guess what? No response from anyone! Good riddance you dump.
Kind of a boomer take OP and a little hail corporate for a guy already out. Most of us are desperately hanging on to what we have. It’s not much but it’s what we have for now. Also in terms of compensation I think most are underpaid for the work they do.
I found a nice little family owned business after my layoff. I don't get the nice bonuses anymore, but the work culture is night and day difference.
@OP agree. I am also one of those position that got “eliminated” because of organizational restructuring, but I’m happy. My only regret is to leave people in the workplace who became long time friends. I’ve seen the best times of T-Mobile as a company, but the last few years, it’s just toxic and it’s not the same T-Mobile culture anymore. So for those who were left behind, I wish you well. If you are not happy working in there, get out. Life is too short to do things that do not make you happy.
Not sure exactly how this website would exist if nobody posted OP. You can choose to not read it or you can visit several of the billion other websites available. I'll get back to STFU per your request, layoff post king.
Hear hear. I too was “eliminated”. I thought I would feel better about it given how sh---y the company has been for 5+ years but it’s a strange feeling I can’t describe.
