Thread regarding BP PLC layoffs

Is there another round coming?

I have heard that more layoffs have started. Can anyone confirm?

The company is no longer doing large group wide rounds of layoffs like was done in the past.

Individual VP’s teams are being reorged at random different times.

Layoffs are currently happening. It’s just not on a large scale so you don’t hear about it.

@cx. yep, txc was end of the beginning, macondo beginning of the end, looney middle of the end, and we are now approaching end of the end.

@bv 3-6 months after she arrives the strategy is republished.

6-9 months EVPs will be moved on.

9-12 months layoffs in the general population.

Sunbury, Houston, Aberdeen will decline. Pune, Bangalore etc will increase.

Macondo then Looney were too much.

My bet is that the company is spasm until Meg is on board. Ignore the noise until Meg turns up in the spring and lays out her strategy and job cuts.

The obvious answer to this question is always, yes. The only question really is, when?
