I'm on edge. Everybody around me too. We have no indication at all about how this will go down.

I heard from people outside of work circles that most of the state of MN is not going to work tomorrow - for large community demonstrations. The timing of both events will make tomorrow interesting. (Who is gone and why?)

@b8 damn, seriously? What time zone? This late

@b8 what area do you work?
@b8 what time?

@ac mmm yeah at this point no one is safe. before the round i was let go they let go several lead physicians that were in charge of moonlighting or night clinics. all the people who do patient care via telehealth i would def start looking for way out.
@ab what about clinicians, commuters?
you will get a teams invite and even if youre off they will still call you via teams. Then if they dont reach you you will receive a phone call from someone in corporate a little bit after asking you to email your "new supervisor" (cause they layed off our manager too) your personal email and theyll send you the severance package. all before lunch time. then youll clean up your desk cause theyll tell you EOB your badge wont work. and then you finish at home until your official term date.
@a6 Can you please clarify. If an employee is on RIF list will they be called or receive a teams invite within 90 minutes of the start of the day?
Friday is a great day for a sick day! They will call you either way, it just makes more work for them to reach out vs. being on the mass call.
If you are on the list expect to be contacted within the first 90 minutes of the day. You may also be contacted later in the morning if your coworkers were impacted. It is stressfull for everyone; nobody wins.
@OP my boss gave me a heads up but I didn't know it was a bigger layoff. I knew my department had some layoffs but didnt know it was company wide. But my boss told me so I'll get all the information tomorrow.
Tomorrow morning. Same model as always.
