Searching for an exit

I'm actively looking for a new role and sending out applications weekly. This place is notably worse than any other bank I've worked for. The overall environment is just not functional.

P.S. before you make the leap, visit the WF site on this same website, so you can see all the stuff they complain about over there.

Might help you weigh it out.

(i'd do that for any company regardless, at least to go in eyes open)

#jn - more chaotic, higher energy, more busy work, far less organized, more people (pretty much everyone from what I hear) who have no clue what they are doing, tons of mistakes, lack of well-defined processes and procedures -- all of which BofA alums generally excel at b/c we have to in order to even get thru the day.

They hire us to be the "adult in the room" and instill BofA processes/discipline/best practices to help clean up their cluster of a bank.

If you are bored, thrive on chaos and want to be paid more, then WF is for you.

All my colleagues who've made that leap do tend to stick there pretty good, several years now for many, and are all very happy.

And even if they don't totally like it, at least they're paid better -- which enables anyone to put up with more cr@p.

Just make sure you ask Top Dollar - like 50% more of your total comp and more vacaation time. Get it in writing (b/c managers and HR people change). Seem intrigued but hesitant/indecisive, (for any job change, always go in as high as you can b/c you never know if you'll see another raise, esp. these days)

I'm retiring this year, so not in the cards for me, but for others, could work well.

Wells pay good amount 2 time more if you are BofA alumn

Wells culture is lot different than BofA

@OP - the Exit doors are clearly marked. Sounds like you are looking more for Hand-Hold to an Off-Ramp.

No one is going to pave the way for you. If we knew, we'd do it ourselves.

Or just take the Easy Path and dial 1-800-Wells-Fargo.

they LOVE BofA alums.

Join every Employee Network and suk up to every exec you encounter. Ingratiate yourself. Grovel. Whatever it takes.

You don't need to be an actual minority to join. Join as an Advocate. (Top management loves that!! Helps their Metrics.) (and I am serious. Don't be naive.)

By meeting the Exec in-person (b/c they or their Designate are Compelled to attend the groups they "sponsor", you will increase your chances to make a good impression on someone who has the influence/power to make a real difference in your professional life and career.

They are all super insecure and su-kers for flattery. Go for it.
