The majority of the team is gone, and only a few people remain. I genuinely do not know whether being laid off or being left behind is the worse outcome.

I’m in the same boat. My team was hammered. And our workaholic manager will be worse now with more micro-managing and expectations.
I wish I would’ve gotten a package.

That's especially true in this economy!
@a1 The toxicity from this place causes extreme emotional distress. There are many other companies out there that will treat you better. Trust me.
I would say, if you have bills to pay, having a damn job would be the best outcome.
