Thread regarding Open Text Corp. layoffs

Virtual management at all levels is next.

There have been strong discussions that people managers, at every level and in all locations, should lead by example by being office-based.

If you are a virtual people manager at any level, anywhere in the world, you should expect your team to be managed by an office-based leader. What that means for you, I'm sure you can guess.

OpenText is hospice for software projects, where only enough money is spent to keep them alive until they die. The problem is now that we stopped acquiring companies there are no new hospice patients just death.

@ac I've watched products be abandoned without reason a few time to know this is not only possible, but probable.

Could this be a “layoff” without severance and unemployment payments (US)?

I can guarantee that RTO policy won't increase OpenText's productivity, creativity, or revenue at all. High levels, however, typically ignore this presumption.

And virtual team members over 50km will have to relocate or else leave the company by Jan 2027
