I’ve been in the Minneapolis office and it’s so empty. Are people taking PTO or did some managers actually care and give waivers due to the extreme cold and everything happening here? Personally my manager has not even pretended to care one bit or said anything

@ej Manager needs to submit the check-in. Will show under notifcations
Where do I find the check-in in workday?
@b0 so, what you're saying is that we should all have to work 5 days a week in the office during summer, winter break and spring break?
- 40 windchill and subzero temps plus snow. Plus add ICE sc-m. I hope they would let people work remotely.
@aq
Minn here and tech. Haven't heard any of this. must be site specific?
I love these implicit admissions that working in office is all kabuki theater. If you can work from home productively because its snowy out, you can work from home productively period. Its actually harder on snow days because kids are home.
@ar There is a check-in on Workday that says WFH till 2/6 for now.
I would get something in writing.
@ap Yes, Tech
@am is this just for Tech?
Most of us just worked out two days on Tuesday Wednesday because of the cold and stayed home today and tomorrow.
FYI, my Manager just reached out.
This appears to be extended indefinitely
@aj No, it is a gift from BE
Do thy have to make up the remote day like other offices?
Wow either my manager didn’t know or they didn’t bother to tell me. No wonder it’s a ghost town around here….
@ad by word of mouth. No written communications allowed.
Managers were to inform their directs verbally. If you didn't hear about it, your manager failed their duty
As in East Town?
