Visited Estero Global Headquarters today and witnessed large areas without furniture, tons of empty desks, hardly anyone in the building. Clearly didn’t look like the HQ of a major global corporation. Asked the few zombies roaming around and the general consensus is that Estero HQ was sold with a small HQ opening in Atlanta to “keep the last few lights on”. This doesn’t look good at all. Are we going out of business or cp11 coming again? I remember visiting Estero in 2018 and every workstation was occupied. The place was buzzing with activity everywhere.

@wp There are audits but everyone seems to be complicit.
Estero teams are getting relocated to the 2nd floor in hopes the 3rd floor can be leased out. The furniture has been getting moved to Atlanta (where they don't have space for it). Long term plan will likely be to avoid hiring in Estero moving forward and as positions open, focus on hiring in ATL. They should just sell the HQ and lease a smaller space
If I recall correctly that many former Delta Execs were hired to be the Exec level of Hertz. Which would make sense of moving Hertz HQ to Atlanta where those execs have established homes and families. Money talks and the worker bees walk.
This company rips not only the customers off, but its own people. There should be an audit!
@OP It was like that in 2019 and start of 2020 too. Back then nearly every desk was filled and if you wanted to add someone to your team good luck finding a spot for them. Once covid hit Estero has been a ghost town the entire time it never went back to even 1/3 the precovid staffing. There was some life in 2021-2022 but late 2022 to now we have been in serious decline. If we were the titanic the current management is actively steering into icebergs and throwing anyone with talent overboard.
Back in 2023 I was questioning why my manager was telling me to do things incorrectly on purpose and yelling at me when I showed proof it was wrong and I would only do it correctly. We are talking giant errors that would cost the company millions and I was being labeled as insubordinate and a trouble maker for refusing to obey my id--t manager. I reported her to the Sr Director and she told me she was just following orders from above. They are sabotaging the business on purpose and if you try to save the company they will remove you.
This company needs to be investigated. Seriously.
What % are we giving it that the whole HQ moves to Atlanta?
Staying in Estero. Consolidating to the second floor and planning to sublease the third floor. Investments like new paint, carpet, etc. are being made to second floor. There are move captains for each function helping with clean up and desk assignments. First floor will be a later wave. Furniture on the third floor moved to Atlanta for new office space where they are posting and hiring new roles.
