Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Have you found a job after layoff

How are people doing? Have you been able to find a job? How long did it take you to find a job after being laid-off and in what field did you find a job (sale, marketing, engineering, management, retail, etc.)?

It took me about 9 months to get a job and another 4 years to get my income back to what it was before the layoff.

@bs Who you know is the best way. Second is to find job recruiters that don’t charge, and finally get certifications they are looking for.

Be sure your resume looks updated and good.

@bs

I'm not @b9, but you could start by looking here: https://www.usajobs.gov/
Lots of admin. roles available.

Also, just do a Wiki search for "defense contractors" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_defense_contractors
and start clicking into each company/entity's site to see what they have available for jobs.

Nothing yet. I've been leveraging my network of contacts but no such luck. I'm not panicking yet, but was hoping for zero downtime.
