Contractors won’t be the first to go. They have survived on our team for the past three layoffs intact and in fact increased in numbers. They fly under the radar of layoffs because their budget isn’t under OpEx.

Surprised some consider NTW’s the first to go, i’d think they’d be the cheapest labor since they don’t have to pay them any benefits and are budgeted differently… I could see them beefing up NTWs in fact after this, that’s how Microsoft does it - loooooots of contractors

Contractors are easier to let go. No Stock, no Vacation, no healthcare to pay out. Just call you in and tell you "I have no more work for you" or "The project you're working on has been cut."
