My work space shrunk and shrunk. Started in 2001 with a private office. Then moved to a two-person office. Then a cube. Then a shared/open desk. The more money I made, the smaller my space. Freaking weird company.

@ae FU, there are very few managers at Chevron that are actually intelligent. If there were, they would not have lead the company into this mismanagement of resources without a plan to transition the work to low cost geographies.

The need private offices to secretly plan the next layoff. This one worked like a charm.

They have offices so they can talk and gossip about us with privacy.

that’s hilarious

never forget that leaders

work remote
travel and comp expenses frequently
openly and often discuss and negotiate their pay
don’t follow IT policy
hold multiple jobs at the same time

rules for thee, but not for me.

The concept of servant leadership is completely foreign to Chevron.

Stfu. Let’s not pretend that merit or effort has anything to do with who’s in charge.

It who ya know and who ya…..

You should have studied harder and made better grades and you could be a manager wondering where to put desks and chairs in the hallway and at stair landings. But you were able to check out your senior year before noon to work at MCDs. You're to blame

Some ‘leaders’ are already telling some analysts where to sit to save better spaces for higher level advisors or managers…. Already doomed to fail.
