Somebody asked in another thread if we're going to do quarterly layoffs until only Atty is left, and frankly and sadly, I think that's much closer to the truth than the poster intended. The way things have been developing, it seems that we've reached the stage where layoffs, instead of only being used when absolutely necessary, have become something used regularly just to pad the numbers. That's our future.

@hf6 I haven’t heard anything, but they tend not to advertise the layoffs ahead of time. Hopefully the bad press they got after the Aldi DX layoffs makes them slow down.
@n1 there were big lay offs in IT in Germany. Has there been any info on if there are any happening in the US too?
@md people on Reddit are saying NIT is next in June. No idea where they got that info, but it wouldn’t surprise me.
@mb which teams will be impacted next?
More layoffs ARE coming
A greedy company shielding themselves behind low prices to lure us all in. Some people can’t afford to shop elsewhere so they are forced to pad the pockets of those picking us off one by one.
I bet they will have all of ALDI US crammed into the Batavia office by the end of 2027 and then continue cleaning house until there’s just enough desks to force people to come in office daily. Hybrid work culture will come to an end for ALDI in no time. Brace yourselves or get out.
