Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Mandatory 10 percent PIP

My manager told me directly today that the entire company is forcing managers to give employees low ratings.
Time to leave, guys. They’re trying to get rid of everyone in the U.S. Leave this sh*thole, and for anyone considering coming here—please don’t.

Pls help us. This company has been intentionally laying off US employees so that they can hire offshoring workers. Managers are being forced to give low ratings so the company doesnt have to pay employees bonus and raise!

The pip is purposely given so that BNY doesn’t have to pay severance. It is RV and his dipsh-t cronies’s masterplan. Generally it is a bogus pip with no clear goals and timelines given by your spineless management who want to please the senior management dou--ebags. Beware and get out of this sh---y company. Don’t depend too much on getting severance.

What a sad life. 42 claims to be retired yet spends his days yapping and antagonizing people on this site. Must be terrible not to have any family, friends or hobbies.

Yep. One of the managers I know said this is the worst it has ever been. Giving people bad reviews and no raises. I am hoping for a lay off soon. But, if not, I plan to retire before the end of the year. It's not the same company that I used to be proud to work for. Company revenue is up and stock price is up and they can't even give people a small raise. What a shame.

Personally I've never seen someone on PIP who wasn't truly sh-t at their job but that's just my experience

42 had visibility, groundbreaking ideas and 42 always had great success. If you’re counting your paycheck you’re a wage slave. 42 was always paid with big BONUSES and all in the know lined up and we all got wealthy.

🤣. 42 yapping about his very mediocre “career” at this dump. He admitted highest level he ever achieved was a K. A K is fine. I was a K before I left, but I wasn’t bragging about how high I ascended in the company nor did I even try very hard or care.

All that talking, and he was a middle of the road employee at best. What a looser.

It’s about time for a lot of PIPs because employees walk in and sleep until noon because they’re not even aware how do the rudimentary jobs due to our automation. I left because I couldn’t stand boredom. I need excitement and aggressive and challenging project.

I enjoyed my 42 years, and my management team always rewarded me.

It’s all about your attitude and work ethic. Senior Management always rewarded me well because I had great ideas and knew how to run a team. Change your attitude and it’s there for you.

We can easily handle the load since 42 years of Mellon Technology. automated all drudgery from our jobs. Why do you think that people stay here?

Working at BNY or looking to land a job at BNY is a worst case scenario in life.

Just coming into this place is depressing, mournful and grim. It is like ‘Filly’ in the series ‘Fallout’ here. A toxic, radioactive, dangerous environment. A big ugly hole in the ground.
B. ums in the NYC streets here and mut.ants in the building working here.

10% would be fine as long as they gave full severence. But no, this is just to skrreww people out of money.

This company used to be a great and desirable place. Now it is a dystopian zoo. One look at Dermie and you know you are in it.
