Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Now THIS. this angers me.
IT needs to be optimized immediately. I’m budgeting on fast food while senior managers are jet setting to an island?

“Hey boss, I landed in Fiji but got a cold and can’t work the next few days.”

“Hey boss, my computer isn’t working and I can’t log into Honeywell systems. There’s no IT help desk here in Fiji. Can you ship me a loaner pc?”

Why not Fiji?

Wait, a second. Business as usual.

This is just the beginning. It won’t all be about IT department. I expect us throughout the whole entire aerospace.

IT has lot more mid level managers/directors/B4 than any other group, they should look at sbg eng teams to move towards IC rather leads with less FTE reportee's under them or bunch of CSWs.

Just check out SJ’s Senior Leadership award post and you understand who made that trip! This company is nonsensical. If you worked on IT projects you already now. IT budgeting process blows out spend proposals by 200% and then settle on 150% to show improvement. I bet you can eliminate IT HC by 35% overnight and nothing will happen to the business.

IT is officially the sacrificial lamb and the inefficiencies were created to make it easier to show cost savings on the spin. We should be thanking IT instead of bashing them, from a certain point of view!

Reminds me of when one of the past HCE presidents exploited the private jet to Pacific and literally bought some nonsensical company there to justify it.
