From my experience over the years, when rumors of layoffs surface and linger over the months, they indeed turn out to be true. No matter how hard mgmt tries to keep it under wrap, there is always someone trying to save one of their family members or buddies, etc. You tell one person and word gets around.
There was no "guessing" it was clear based on evidence and prior experience. And it was correct. No one is forcing you to pay attention or look at this site. You chose to do that.
